I believe learning and connecting with cultures worldwide is key in learning. If we teach are students only about the country they are from, and how to communicate only with those similar to us, when students are released in the real world will be lost and unable to communicate or understand.Journee*https://www.blogger.com/profile/12439454494174722630noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4050871629454392076.post-67717939975093644382010-03-20T20:40:45.240-07:002010-03-20T20:40:45.240-07:00That is pretty cool idea since it can connect teac...That is pretty cool idea since it can connect teachers all around by just video sharing. I think it's interesting that teachers from all over the world are using this tool to communicate with each other and connect their classrooms to other classrooms. I think it would be cool for students to do it for debates with each other as well and then when they were played in the classroom they could see themselves and it would be less nerve-wracking for the students because they wouldn't have to be in front of the class.Chelsea Johnsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07994537829951124083noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4050871629454392076.post-80034580821756427072010-01-28T14:38:42.793-08:002010-01-28T14:38:42.793-08:00Kaitlin!

It was a school made from k-11 and we would have to switch classroom to use computers. The writing methods were strict like you had to write punctuations and Capital letters with a Red Pen, I had to practice writing neatly in a notebook composed of cubes. The math is pretty advanced compared to what I took here and seemed more complicated. There I learned to read and hand write like in kinder garden. There's other things too like uniform for PE and swimming and some different ethical values like sharing and you can easily get kiked out of the school for complaining for something, they made you hang out with your own class peers, was tough but I got through and was a learning experience for learning what things to avoid and better in teaching techniques.Jesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07948682602218680480noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4050871629454392076.post-8119672878448153342010-01-27T19:13:33.561-08:002010-01-27T19:13:33.561-08:00I'm the same way with my cell phone. I wasn...I'm the same way with my cell phone. I wasn't one of those kids that got a cell when I was 10 or anything. I didn't get one, until I got a job and could pay for my own bill which was 18. And I never cared that I didn't have one even though all my friends did. It didn't rule my life at all. NOW I have no idea what to do when I don't have it on me. It's like ridiculous how much we need that dumb thing attached to us at all times these days! But I AM sad to say, I am the exact same as everyone else. I like what you said about teachers having to have a love of learning before their students can, and I totally agree. I love to learn, especially about history, and I want to communicate that to my students. Like you said, I don't want to just stand in front of the class and go on about so-called "important information." I want to show how learning is relevant and interesting to my students' lives.Hannahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10487624528346649033noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4050871629454392076.post-40686116701626617462010-01-26T21:55:58.757-08:002010-01-26T21:55:58.757-08:00Hi Kaitlin,
